A Family Tradition in Electrical Excellence
In 1958, Woodrow “Woody” McClure Sr. established Dixie Electric Motor Service, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina. His son, Danny McClure, worked with his father as a high school and college student, as well as after graduating from North Carolina State University in 1973 with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Operations. In early 1989, Danny launched Dixie Electric Controls, Inc., to focus primarily on the controls market with Cutler-Hammer products.
Attention to customer service and technological support remain our goal as a team.
Generation Next
Shaun McClure and Amber Lamontagne, son and daughter of Danny McClure, have joined the company as the next generation of Dixie Electric Controls, Inc., along with son-in-law, Steve Lamontagne.
Continuing in a tradition of excellence, Dixie Electric Controls, Inc. is recognized as a leader in the electrical components business in the Carolinas, with a keen focus on the needs of our customers in the commercial and industrial segments, as well as OEM’s.
Expanded Facilities and Capabilities
In close proximity to our original location in the Freedom Drive area of Charlotte, Dixie Electric Controls, Inc. recently moved to a larger office and warehouse facility off the I-85 Service Road near Billy Graham Parkway and the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. With the relocation to an expanded facility, our aim will be to increase our inventory and customer base while continuing to maintain customer service excellence.
